Congratulations to GIS’ Year 2 Infant School pupil, Miss Abena Serwaa Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu who recently represented Ghana at the 24th International UCMAS Competition held in Cambodia in December 2019.
With 4,400 children from 80 countries participating, 6-year-old Abena in ‘Category A’ managed to tackle 170 out of 200 questions correctly, making her the youngest and 2nd best in her category.She initially participated at the 10th UCMAS National Competition held at the Pentecost Convention Centre. Her accuracy level was brilliant. Out of a total of 150 questions, she confidently answered 125 questions correctly in a record time of 8 minutes. This catapulted her as the first runner-up into the next stage of the competition.
