After consultation with the GIS Board of Directors I would like to announce that the Ghana International School will CLOSE at the end of the School Day today, 13th March 2020 at 3:30 pm for the next two weeks till 27th March, 2020. This early closure is in line with Board Policy on Emergencies. All families have received detailed information regarding the closure and information regarding our Virtual Learning Environment. We look forward to resuming school on Tuesday 14th April, 2020 after the Easter Break. We wish you all a safe and healthy season!
GIS Leadership Day is an annual event specifically designed for Form 2 Students to equip them with the necessary skills required to take up leadership roles in Form 3. The event brings together experts to meet enthusiastic students and staff in a fun interactive learning setting.
After almost 8 hours of finding solutions to complex problems in Mathematics and its applications to Computer Science and Engineering, Ghana International School came tops at the 2020 MISE Tournament (Mathematical Olympiad Tournament)
Out of over 300 students nationwide, from various educational institutions, GIS took the following top awards:
-Highest Scorer- Keshav Viswanathan (Form 3)
-Second Highest Scorer- Nipun Agarwal (Form 3)
-Yale Science and Engineering Association Award for Excellence in Computer Science and Engineering -Russel Fiscian (L6) and
-FKA Allotey Award for Excellence in Mathematics- Roni Edwin (L6).
Team GIS swept almost all the awards at stake and for that we say Congratulations!
