Today, 28th February 2018 marks the eleventh International Rare Disease Day. The main objective of Rare Disease Day is to raise awareness about rare diseases and their impact on patients’ and their families. Learning about rare diseases is so important because 1 in 20 people will live with a rare disease at some point in their life.

Ghana International School recently played host to this year’s International Schools Sports Association Games (ISSAG) with several International Schools in the country competing in basketball and field hockey events.
GIS-PTA donates to Akropong School of the Blind
Always wanting to give back to the community, the Ghana International School – PTA (GIS-PTA) on Wednesday 7th February 2018, donated an amount of Ghs10,000 to the Akropong School of the Blind. The amount donated was a percentage of the proceeds obtained at last year’s organized Bazaar in March.
Term 2 “Connexions with GIS.”
The first edition of “Connexions with GIS” for Term 2 took place today – 6th February, 2018. “Connexions with GIS” is an early morning open- forum gathering organised by the school to further engage parents in a Town Hall style meeting. Answers were provided to the concerns raised at the previous meeting.
Ghana International School inducts 2018- 2019 Student Leaders
Congratulations to the newly elected 2018-2019 Prefects and Students Representative Council (SRC) of Ghana International School. After a period of nominations, intense interviews and campaigns, winners of the various positions were inducted at a ceremony on Monday 5th February 2018.
