Ghana International School is pleased to announce its participation in the 2026 International Emerging Leaders Conference (IELC), taking place from 3–10 October 2026 in Richmond, Virginia, USA.
A delegation of four students and one teacher will represent Ghana in a week of environmental problem-solving, design thinking, leadership development and cross-cultural collaboration with students from around the world.
The GIS delegation will present research on urban flooding in Accra and share aspects of Ghanaian culture with fellow participants from Argentina, Italy, Mexico, China, Morocco, South Africa and the USA.
We wish our students (Andrea M., Adwita K., Keziah-Norah L., and Aaditya R.) a safe, meaningful and memorable IELC experience as they represent Ghana with warmth, dignity and confidence.
Mr. Andrew Sowah, Mathematics teacher, will serve as the chaperone on the trip.
