On 30 and 31st January 2023, the Ghana International School (GIS), an excellent institution in education delivery, hosted a 13-member delegation of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS), led by the NUGS President for a 2-day immersion program.

The purpose of the program was for NUGS to witness the practical demonstration of global standard education delivery as the union advocates for the Ghanaian education system.

This was also in line with the GIS strategic goal 2.2, “to drive change that creates and enhances access to transformative education in our local and global community”. They hope to achieve this by sharing their human and material resources and opening their campus to be observed by those interested in benchmarking their own practice.

My takeaway from the program was the commitment to demonstrate excellence in every detail, imbibed in the NUGS delegation. We can reach excellence when ‘we are all involved…’
