Ghana International School (G.I.S.) has over the past ten years, partnered with the Children’s Heart Foundation to save the lives of underprivileged children with hole-in-heart conditions. The non-governmental voluntary organization is devoted to raising funds to assist children with heart conditions through life saving operations.
Touched by their efforts, students and parents of the School have raised funds to finance over 10 heart surgeries for children in Ghana. Mrs. Mary Ocansey Head of Admissions at G.I.S. has coordinated the school’s fundraising efforts. Vanessa Dzamesi is the most recent beneficiary to have received treatment in 2016.
This year the School wants to support Eyram Ekpe, an eight year old boy who suffers from a complex heart condition known as double outlet right ventricle (DORV). He urgently needs heart surgery to enable him live a normal life.
The School is therefore appealing to parents and friends of G.I.S. to once again come together to give the gift of life to Eyram this festive season.
All donations should be sent to the Vice Principals’ offices or the Welcome Centre of Ghana International School.Thank you
