On Tuesday, 28th December 2021, the Pinamaa Foundation, including Awurabena Akyea, Genevieve Budu, Benita Azuma and Afiba Nkrumah (all Lower Six) welcomed over thousand five hundred market women, head porters, truck pushers and street children to the La-Nkwantanang JHS and Primary School, a government-run cluster of schools located in Madina, for their annual Christmas community outreach program.
In line with the theme for this year’s event “Food for a Soul”; each participant received a hot and delicious meal. Beyond providing the participants with food, the greater objective of the event was to provide an avenue for eligible persons to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The Ghana Health Service, Madina Kekele Park division facilitated the COVID-19 vaccination program by deploring eight medical practitioners and nurses to the venue. The Ghana Health Service team made it possible for one hundred and sixteen persons to receive a vaccine at the event.
