Nickname(s): Zee, Zaza, Z, Spiritual ginger
Nationality: British Ghanaian
Favourite Catchphrase/saying: mad o, shut up, you are so Jon bruhhh, ew the ghetto, ladies don’t do that
Favourite Class: Literature
Favourite Form: Form 5
Favourite staff member: Mrs.Joseph/ Mr.Dzakarmani
Favourite spot: Canteen
Most embarrassing moment: A girl in my form confronted me, claiming I liked her significant other and insinuating I was after him. A mutual friend of ours suggested we makeup and being the more refined one I approached her, only for her to aggressively insist on the fact that I liked her significant other. She even proceeded to make a call for an ex-student in the U.K to back her points up, which by the way failed. It was most humiliating to be associated with such a situation, especially in the ‘ghetto’ unapologetic manner it was handled in.
Four words that describe you: Lady-like, Funny, Blunt, Pretty
Your GIS experience in one word: Tough
Best GIS memories: Meeting a special someone.Getting closer to my friend Poku B and doing a lot of witless things. During his mocks, he would come and pick me from wherever I am and talk about crazy plans. Another time would be running for Canteen prefect, so much support from my friend Poku B and advice from Marcel and other prefects at the time. I cherish experiencing emotions flying in the common room, listening to people bet on a fight breaking between me and my opponents and many more.
Where you think you will be 10 years from now: Living in Ghana with my beautiful family practising the profession I wish to obtain.
That One person who inspired you during your time GIS: No one
Best lesson GIS taught you: There are a lot of people that will dislike you for existing but that shouldn’t stop you from being the best version of yourself.
What you want to be remembered for at GIS: Being that strong girl with a shrill voice and tiny physique that held her head high no matter what and let nobody walk over her.
Greatest achievement while at GIS: Making it out of GIS still sane.
Best advice while at GIS and who gave it? : “So you see the thing is if you give certain people the attention they’ll disturb you for time, so it’s better if you don’t give them attention at all. ‘Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest you be like him yourself’ Proverbs 26:4-5” – Elliot
What you will tell your 13-year-old self knowing what you know now: Enjoy the age while you are still young because this adulthood comes with a lot of responsibility.
