In the month of October, awareness is created worldwide on Breast Cancer.
To Join in the cause of creating awareness and to reiterate our Social Responsibility as a School, the Human Resource Department invited all Staff to come to work on Monday 7th October, 2019 in an attire/outfit with a touch of pink or white.
The colour pink and the pink ribbon have become powerful symbols to increase awareness about breast cancer throughout the month of October. The pink ribbon is worn to honour survivors, remember those lost to the disease, and to support the progress being made to defeat breast cancer.
According to the WHO “Breast cancer is the most frequent cancer among women, impacting 2.1 million women each year, and also causes the greatest number of cancer-related deaths among women. While breast cancer rates are higher among women in more developed regions, rates are increasing in nearly every region globally.”
‘Proudly wear a touch of pink or white this Monday, 7th October…’
