GIS has another reason to celebrate this week! Our own Kelvin Abdallah Jnr, (Class 4) represented Ghana, his school and his swim club,The Dolphins, at the International Swimfest competition in Germany. Kelvin participated in 4 events, and won gold (first place) in 3 of the events, and bronze (third place) in 1.
He also won the overall best athlete for his competition category, thereby taking the first place trophy for that category.
Finally, he also won a special award from the President of the competition for making 32 seconds in the 50 meters freestyle competition.Kelvin, we are super proud of you! You set a goal, worked hard to achieve it, and never gave up. This makes us smile because that’s what we hope students will do everyday-in the classroom and out of the classroom. Congratulations Kelvin! Congratulations Abdallah family!
