Ms Grace Hanson and Mrs Angela van der Puije both Teachers of GIS and MUN Club Patrons recently accompanied 14 Upper Secondary students to the 45th National High School Model United Nations (NHSMUN) Conference in New York.
With over 2000 delegates from over 160 schools from all over the world who attended and participated in the conference, we are proud to announce that GIS was recognized as one of the top 15 delegations.
The intense 3-day conference involved collaboration with other delegates to present sustainable solutions to problems such as the Rohingya crisis, the issues with ocean fishing, rising suicide rates worldwide and gender equality.
