Summer break is great because it allows one to relax, revitalize and explore a whole new world away from the norm. Ohemaa Aseda Kyei-Mensah, a year 6 pupil at GIS decided to embark on a reading campaign in collaboration with the Management of Westhills Mall during her summer break. Equipped with leadership skills, and encouraged to be socially responsible citizens at school, taking on this role was a natural step!
As a Reading Ambassador, stationed at the Westhills Pom Pom Library, she encouraged children at the mall to visit the library and read a book for free. She also continues to develop fun and exciting ways of cultivating the habit of reading among children.
