This morning, GIS proudly welcomed back an alumna – Lucille King, GIS Class of 2016, and the most recent winner of the Miss Malaika Ghana pageant!
Lucille delivered an inspiring speech to the secondary school students at assembly, encouraging them to never give up on their dreams. She credited the school for shaping her into the phenomenal woman she is today through the many opportunities it gave her, from running track for Red House to starring prominently in the 2015 GIS musical, In the Heights.
Accompanied by her mother, Lucille was reacquainted with several of her former teachers, including the principal, Mr. Amponsah-Mensah.
It is an incredible privilege to be part of Lucille’s story.
