Our entire GIS Community was delighted to present to The Children’s Heart Foundation Ghana the funds raised for two Hole-in-Heart candidates (Amdiya and Baaba) at a recently organized Junior School Assembly. We were elated to have one of the beneficiaries, Amdiya, a 16-year-old girl and her father with us. She had anxiously been hoping and praying for a miracle as she has been waiting to have her corrective heart surgery way before Covid-19 hit in 2020.
Along with her father and representatives from the Children’s Heart Foundation, we were able to donate the generated funds she desperately needed for her surgery yesterday. She had been suffering from two types of congenital heart conditions known as Ventricular Septal Defect and Patent Ductus Arteriosus. We wish her all the best as we could not have been more delighted to have made an impact in her life. Go GIS! Let’s continue to make a difference in the lives of others.
