11 Lower 6th Form Students of GIS have been selected to participate in the University of Nottingham’s Bridge Building Competition on Saturday, March 11th 2023 from 8 am to 5 pm. The program will provide students with an overview of Civil engineering and an introduction to bridge-building concepts. As part of the preparations, students will take a trip to Atimpoku to observe how the Adomi Bridge was designed and constructed. After this observation, they will be given materials to build a model bridge after which a second session will require them to build an even larger model bridge which will then be tested for durability and aesthetics by the organizers of the competition. A special thank you to our amazing Physics Teachers, Mr. Schuman, Mr Akrobotu, Mr Schandorf, Mr. Botchway as well as Mrs Rianatu Mensah our Career College Counsellor for encouraging, supporting and preparing our students for this new and exciting challenge. Wishing Orianne Gyampo, Nana Kofi Nsiah Tabiri, Maanvendra Kothari, Korkor Gogo, Keren Owusu-Ansah, Kendise Quartey, Joshua Ane, Jason Brocke, Gabriel Tetteh, Edem Osae, Ebow Quaicoe and Aba Kwofie all the very best!
