Did you know that the GIS Infant school now has a Student Council? Popularly known as the Infant School Student Council (ISSC), this brilliant initiative was set in motion by the Infant School Vice Principal, Mrs. Donna Gordon-Apeagyei, and her Middle Management team. The objective for setting up this Council was to get pupils actively involved in organizing, planning, and executing different events and activities in the Infant School.
The Campaign had children from Nursery through to Class 2 convincing their peers why they should be voted for. Some convincing campaign promises made by candidates included extra play time, more play equipment, and even free fandango distribution. Others simply requested to be voted for just because they were special. It really was a fun learning experience for the children as they learned so much about leadership, campaigning, voting, and democracy in general. A big thank you to the entire Infant School staff for making this an unforgettable experience for our pupils.
Congratulations to all the candidates and to the entire section! Well done!!!
