We are happy to announce that the following students Ousman Jobe (Lower 6th Form), Shambhavi Verma (Lower 6th Form), Leilani Rawlings (Form 4) and Nigel Sarpong (Form 4) will represent #GhaIntSch and Ghana at the 9th Annual International Emerging Leaders Conference; organized and hosted by the Collegiate School in Richmond, Virginia-USA.
This year’s conference which is focused on “The Global Economy and Environment”, will host students from around the world including Ghana. They will be tasked to explore the topic (The Global Economy and Environment) from a variety of disciplines such as green technology, environmental science, ethics, communication, business, marketing, and economics.
Delegates will work on group projects in multi-national teams and exchange ideas. They will also have the opportunity to meet renowned scholars from leading universities.
This is the second time GIS will be participating in the Emerging Leaders Conference. Participating in events such as these fall under our Strategic Goal 1 & 4, where we continue to look for ways to enrich our student learning experiences.
Our students are being chaperoned by Ms. Omosede Eholor (one of our College and Career Counsellors).
We would like to say thank you to our Upper Secondary VP, AVP, the entire team of the Counseling Department and the Student Activities Coordinator for making this possible. We wish our delegates the very best at this conference.
