Amber Smith is a Year 3 (Sapele) Student of the Ghana International School, keen on making a difference in the lives of premature babies and nursing mothers in Ghana.
Inspired by an already existing NGO- The Jay Foundation, Amber quickly rallied her friends to help raise funds by selling lemonade, ice cream, popcorn and cupcakes at the Accra and Marina Malls. She aimed to raise funds to purchase essential items needed for neonatal survival and, this she did. Well done, Amber Smith! Thank you for making us proud.
At Ghana International School, our Strategic Goal (No. 4, 2017-2021) requires all school community members to ‘make an impact through service’.
Doing this over a long period has instilled an attitude of kindness in our students bringing out the very best in them.
Well done GIS, let us continue to lead responsibly, give back to our communities and make a difference!
