Today we witnessed the opening of this year’s GIS Model United Nations(MUN) conference. One may ask, what exactly is MUN? MUN is an extracurricular activity that aims to emulate the United Nations in mock debates called conferences.
Schools around the globe participate in MUN and their students enjoy it for many different reasons. However, whether they came to improve their public speaking, or broaden their global horizons, they are always positively transformed by the experience in some way shape or form.
This year our main focus is UN Sustainable Development Goal 16: “Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions” and we are excited to be hosting students from selected schools in Ghana. #GISMUN2019
