‍“Red House Bulldogs” take away the trophy on Sports Day with 320 points

On Wednesday 21st February 2018, Secondary School Students of GIS participated in a day’s Track and Field competition organized by the Physical Education (PE) & Sports Department at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.

The Annual Sports Day event had a fantastic turnout of athletes representing various houses namely, Red Bulldogs, Yellow Wolves, Green Lions, Purple Phoenixes, Orange Eagles and Blue Dolphins. The weather was justpleasant and this served as the perfect boost for all the participants on the day.

Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering andtons of encouragement for the young athletes. The athletes representing their various houses showcased sportsmanship in a fiercely competitive and healthy sports environment. They participated in events such as long jump, high jump, flat races, javelin and shuttle relay to the admiration of all. Winners of various track and field events were presented with medals.

At the end of an exciting and thrilling competition, Red House Bulldogs displayed a spectacular performance and emerged overall winners on the day taking home the biggest trophy of the event. We say congratulations Red House! And well done to each and every one who helped in one way or the other to make the day a success.

‍Green Lions place second with 255 points
‍Blue Dolphins place third with 254 points
‍Orange Eagles won the chant competition and placed fourth with 247 points
Purple Phoenixes were best behaved house and placed 6th with 182 points‍
‍Yellow Wolves place 5th with 238 points
