Congratulations Russell!

Russell Fiscian, a GIS Form 5 Student, has been nominated to showcase his Science Research Project, at this year’s Pan African Expo for Young Scientists in South Africa.
Russell, under the expert guidance of Mr. Karan Gewal of the Artificial Intelligence Research Group (University of Toronto), developed a machine learning algorithm to automate identity verification and fraud detection in a robotic environment.

The simple technique uses plastic gallons and bottles to keep one afloat in water when rescue equipment is not readily available or is too costly.

Summer break is great because it allows one to relax, revitalize and explore a whole new world away from the norm. Ohemaa Aseda Kyei-Mensah, a year 6 pupil at GIS decided to embark on a reading campaign in collaboration with the Management of Westhills Mall during her summer break. Nana Afia Addae wins Essay Competition

During the summer holidays, Nana Afia Addae, a Form 5 Student of GIS was declared the overall winner of an essay competition dubbed “What’s Your Thing?”.
The competition, supported by Stanbic Bank, Ghana, was organized as part of a Ghana/China Cultural Exchange Programme under the auspices of both the John Agyekum Kuffour and Rebecca Akufo-Addo Foundations.
