Eno Adusei, a Form 5 student at GIS, has been selected for the 2018 Harvard Medical School MEDScience summer programme.

HMS MEDscience Program offers an exciting and engaging hands-on experience for young, passionate minds with an interest in medical sciences, health care, or STEM fields.

During the one week programme, classrooms are transformed into emergency room simulation laboratories on the Harvard Medical School campus. Teammates learn to treat a high-tech “patient” with state-of-the art realistic and medically accurate features.

The programme fosters critical thinking, problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills which are all required to successfully compete for career opportunities in medicine (or otherwise around the world). These attributes are in line with our objectives as a school to produce students who are internationally minded, think critically, disciplined, communicate effectively, display creativity and are socially responsible.

Thank you to Mr. Eugene Boateng (Biology Teacher) who supported her application to Harvard.

Congratulations Eno! We wish you the very best as you continue to explore new and exciting ways of pursuing your medical aspirations. GIS is proud of you! #ProudMoment
