The Principal of Ghana International School, Dr. Mrs. Mary Ashun has been honoured with the Excellent Educator Award by Endless Possibilities and Hope Development Organization. Dr. Ashun was honoured for her work and passion as an educator, her desire to inspire and encourage students as well as her friends and family.

As part of our mission to provide an internationally diverse school experience that instills an understanding of each other, promotes holistic development, life skills and learning, the Health and Wellness Department of GIS has put together an exciting healthy initiative dubbed “Sugar Free Week”.

On the 28th of March 2018, fourteen confident and eloquent students, all from Upper Secondary who role-played Heads of Government at a Commonwealth Day event organized by the Royal Commonwealth Society were invited for lunch at the residence of the British High Commissioner, H.E Iain Walker.

We are excited to have our Alumni visit us tomorrow 29th March 2018 at the GIS Secondary School Assembly Hall. We look forward to welcoming and hearing them speak to Students about their real life experiences after GIS.
On 26th March 2018, GIS launched its 4th Science, Mathematics and Information Technology (SMIT) Fair. The theme for this year’s fair is ”Influencing Our Communities Through Innovation: “From Concept to Impact”.
As part of our community service programme as a school, in the last 3 years, we have extended invitations to the New Horizon School, La Wireless Cluster of Schools and Street Academy to come and watch our Musical dress rehearsals for free at the National Theatre.
March 14, 2018, had selected students of GIS participate in a Pi day event. The Pi memorization contest pushed students to stretch themselves by memorizing as many digits as possible. Our students were absolutely sensational on the day.
This year’s 2018 Junior School inter-house athletics competition saw Blue House win the overall trophy, a three in a row winning streak .It was a fun filled sports day which had Staff, Parents and Students come together to display terrific sportsmanship.
